To register for the portal, you will need the below information:
• Your VHI Dental policy number
• Your date of birth as shown on your Dental Policy
• A valid email address

You are required to create a password using the following rules:
• A minimum of 8 characters
• 1 uppercase letter
• 1 lowercase letter
• 1 number
• 1 special character e.g. !£$%^&*()

Only insured members can register for the Dental Portal.
Members aged 18 or older must register separately due to GDPR and security requirements.

Children under 18 are automatically registered with the main policyholder and cannot register separately.
Claims for dependents under 18 can only be made through the main policyholder on the Dental Portal.

Unfortunately, not at present.
Each adult over 18 years of age must register separately.
Children under the age of 18 years will automatically register with the main policyholder.

Once a dependent turns 18, they will no longer be linked to the main policyholder’s account and must create a separate Dental Portal account.

Yes, on the dashboard, you can use the "View or Edit" panel to update your email address.
Once updated, any existing claims will still hold your previous email address.

On the dashboard, you can update your bank details for future claims by selecting "View or Edit" in the bank details panel.
Once updated, any existing claims will still hold your previous bank details.

A confirmation of your cover is advice that can be sent directly to your dentist, it validates your dental policy is in place and confirms cover for treatment for an upcoming dental appointment.

A confirmation of cover advice can only be sent to a dentist on our Dental Network who offer Direct Pay Services to our members.

The below information will be sent to your selected dental practice:

Coverage on your insurance policy for 1 Exam, 2 Small X-Rays and 1 Scale & Polish/Cleaning.
This information can be viewed once sent from the View Your History section of this portal.

Your confirmation of cover is valid for 14 days from the date sent to your dental practice.

The document that is sent to your Dental Practice can be viewed in the View Your History panel on the dashboard.

You will need the following items:
• IBAN & BIC Number (This can be added on the main dashboard and will be applied to all future claims)
• Treatment Information: Treatment Name & Tooth Numbers (for treatments like Fillings, Extractions, Implants, Crowns, etc.)
• Date of Treatment
• Treatment Cost: Amount charged (in Euro)

On the "Submit Your Claim" screen, click "Save claim to continue later" to save your claim.
To resume, go to the Dashboard, select "Continue saved claim," and choose the claim by number, patient name, or creation date.
Unsubmitted claims are saved for 14 days and automatically cancel after that.

Don’t worry if your receipt has no treatments listed as some Dental Practices still list the receipt as specialist services.
We will contact your Dental Practice to ensure your claim is being assessed against the correct benefits.

If you can’t find your treatment listed under any of the sections you can type the information into the Miscellaneous section along with the cost (in Euro) and save.

Upload your receipt or statement using the "Choose file" button. You can attach multiple receipts in various document formats. Once uploaded, click "Submit" to send your claim, and we will process it as quickly as possible.

No. You can only make a claim for one insured person at a time, we cannot process treatments for multiple insureds on the same claim.

You can enter treatments for multiple dental visits as long as the treatment date is correct and each has a corresponding receipt. Separate claims are not needed for different treatment dates.

To enter tooth numbers, use the FDI (Fédération Dentaire Internationale) system. Click the "View Tooth Chart" link and select the treated tooth, or type the 2-digit number from your dentist's receipt or statement. For children's teeth, click "If your treatment is on a primary tooth click here" to access the primary tooth chart with the same functionality. Repeat this process until all treatments are entered.

No, you do not need to upload a Paper Claim Form as the online entry is your claim form.

No, you do not need to upload your Vhi Dental Policy Schedule or Policy Wording.

The Vhi Dental Policies claim service is provided by Collinson Insurance Service European Limited. Unfortunately the Vhi App and Snap and Send are not available for claims administered by Collinson.

The Vhi Dental Policy Insurance coverage is built differently to a Private Medical Insurance policy. The information requested by us ensures you receive full and accurate coverage for your claim.

Most of our claims are paid to our members’ allocated bank account within 1 working day of the claim being submitted.
